BARSTOW HS: Donavan Barela prepped at Barstow HS where he compiled a 57-7 record...finished fifth at the state championships as a senior...helped the Aztecs to a High Desert League championship...team placed fifth at the CIF Southern Section Division VIII meet.

PERSONAL: Barela has not declared a major at CSUB...enjoys collecting coins and playing video games.
