Brian Cobb has been working with the Bakersfield wrestling program for over a decade. Cobb, a CSUB graduate, was the lone senior on the 2004 squad which finished the season 14-1. He posted an impressive 35-12 record that year culminating in a second-place finish at the Pac-12 Tournament.
Cobb placed sixth and fourth at the Midlands Opens in 2009 and 2010 respectively. He was also named the Outstanding Wrestler at the 2007 San Francisco State California Open.
In addition to his freestyle wrestling career, Cobb is a professional Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) athlete, holding the Gladiator Challenge Light Weight and the Palace Fighting Championship (PFC) Lightweight titles during his career. He has competed for the UFC and the World Series of Fighting. As of July 1, 2015, Cobb has posted a 20-8 MMA record.
