2019-20 (R-JUNIOR): Was CSUB's regular at 125 lbs, posting a 12-16 record and a 5-8 dual record...Defeated Buffalo's Jordan Reyes 4-3 for first dual win of the season...Knocked off Cal Poly's Benny Martinez 7-1...Placed fourth at the Pac-12 Championships with wins over Benny Martinez and Arkansas Little-Rock's Jayden Carson (Fall)...Also competed at the Roadrunner Open, the Cliff Keen Invitational and the Southern Scuffle. 

2018-19 (R-SOPHOMORE): Recorded a 5-5 record at 125 pounds...was 2-4 in dual action...opened the season with major decisions against Life Pacific's Nate Yanez and San Francisco State's Angelo Reyes...finished second at the Roadrunner Open after going 3-1...recorded tech falls against Joe Delgado of San Francisco State and Cyril Maravilla of California Baptist...suffered season-ending injury in championship match of Roadrunner Open.  

2017-18 (R-FRESHMAN): Recorded 9-6 record at 125 pounds...tied for second on teh team with six pins...recorded fastest pin of the season (1:11) in season-opening match against Felipe Lemus (Sacramento State Community College) at the Bill Musick Open...won all three matches at the Bill Musick Open to take first place...earned first career conference start against Stanford on 11/11....went 2-2 with two pins at the Roadrunner Open...finished second at the Menlo Invite after pinning Landon Obra-Nakate of Pacific (4:47) in the opening round...went 3-2 with two pins at the Cali Collegiate.  

2016-17 (REDSHIRT):  Went 7-9 in open tournaments...finished third at the Fresno City College Open. Sat out the season as a redshirt.

HIGH SCHOOL: A 2016 graduate of Hesperia High School...coach was Jim Straight...named Mojave River League lower weight MVP as a senior.

PERSONAL: Born Jan. 20, 1998...son of Rafael Hernandez and Serafina Figueroa...a criminal justice major.
