2024-25 (R-SOPHOMORE): Returned to the collegiate mat after two and a half seasons away and proved to still be an elite wrestler…Finished season with 21-1 record, going 19-0 to start the year…Lost in NCAA Semifinals to eventual Champion Stephen Buchanan (Iowa) before winning wrestlebacks to place third at NCAA Championships with decision over #1 Jacob Cardenas (Michigan)…Won Pac-12 title over eventual All-American Stephen Little (Little Rock)…Named Pac-12 Wrestler of the Week twice (Dec. 24 and Jan. 14)…Helped generate over 20 million views on CSUB Wrestling social media pages over the course of one season…Earned Pac-12 Honor Roll honors.

PRIOR TO CSUB: Competed at Oklahoma State for two seasons under legendary Head Coach John Smith…In 2020-21, won the NCAA title at 197 pounds with a 4-2 decision against No. 6 Nino Bonaccorsi (Pittsburgh), becoming just the third true freshman in OSU history to win a national championship…Finished the 2020-21 season 20-1 overall, outscoring opponents 195-55 on the year…Won the Big 12 Championship and was named the Most Outstanding Wrestling of the tournament after knocking off the top two seeds…In 2021-22, was 10-0 and the consensus No. 1 wrestler at 197 pounds before a season-ending injury sustained in an automobile accident…Took an Olympic redshirt in 2023-24 while committed to Iowa, but decommitted before ultimately transferring to Cal State Bakersfield.

HIGH SCHOOL: A 2020 graduate of Allen High School…Coached by Jerry Best…Amassed a 96-1 record over prep career at AHS, Blair Academy (N.J.) and Bergen Catholic (N.J.)…Ranked the No. 1 overall wrestler in the class of 2020 at the time of his commitment…A two-time Texas state champion…Was the champion of the Fargo Freestyle and Walsh Jesuit Ironman tournaments in 2017…Earned a bronze medal representing the United States at the 2018 Cadet Freestyle World Championships…Finished first in the Reno Tournament of Champions in 2017 and 2018…Also won the 2018 Junior Folkstyle National Championship...Named to the honor roll and was a member of the ping pong and chess clubs in high school.

PERSONAL: An interdisciplinary studies major…Two brothers are also collegiate wrestlers.
