Lee Strosnider will begin his second season as a volunteer assistant coach with the CSU Bakersfield water polo program in the Spring of 2017.

On the prep level, Strosnider coached both the boys and girls teams at Santiago High School in Corona, Calif. He was named the Press Enterprise Boys Coach of the Year in 2014 after leading the team to a 20-9 record and the first round of the CIF Division 2 Tournament. The Santiago girls team went 21-9 during the 2015 season, reaching the quarterfinals of the CIF Division 3 Tournament. He also served as the assistant varsity swim coach at Santiago and saw his team win both the boys and girls league title in 2014.

Strosneider served as a 2014-15 USA Water Polo PSW-SOPAC ODP Zone coach. His team finished eighth at the Olympic Development Program National Tournament. Two of his girls’ players were selected to advance to the national training selection camp. Three of his Santiago team took part in the NTSC. He was then selected to attend the ODP Summit, and coach at NTSC, cadet level. He also attended the ODP holiday camp at Olympic training center for coaching training.

Strosnider was the head girls coach with the Xtreme Water Polo club in Riverside, Calif. He led Xtreme’s 18U team to a ninth place in the 2014 platinum Junior Olympics and guided the 18U B team to third place in the bronze division of the 2014 Junior Olympics. He is currently an assistant coach with the Bakersfield Water Polo club.

A 2007 Cal Baptist graduate, he played for the Lancers for four seasons. He was a third team All-American for Ayala High School in Chino Hills, Calif. prior to joining the Cal Baptist program.
