Amber Pezzolla will begin her second season as CSU Bakersfield assistant water polo coach in the Spring of 2017.

Pezzolla is one of three players in the history of San Diego State water polo to become a four-time All-American. Pezzolla was an honorable mention choice in 2010 and 2011, before earning second-team honors in 2012 and picking up third team honors in 2013. Pezzolla is the career leader at SDSU in steals (303). She is fifth in school history in career assists (129) and sixth in career goals. (229). She earned All-Big West first team All-Conference honors as a senior after leading the team in goals (71) and steals (69), while adding the second-most assists on the squad (38).

As a prep player, Pezzolla was part of the CHAWP program that won the 2009 18U Division Junior Olympic National Championship.  Prior to arriving at CSUB, Pezzolla was coaching at Glendora HS and with CHAWP water polo club. She is currently enrolled in the teaching credential program at CSUB.

Amber’s sister Megan is the school record holder for career saves at CSU Bakersfield and is a former volunteer assistant for the Roadrunner program.
