Biography
2014 (JUNIOR): Selected honorable mention All-Conference...became the 17th Bakersfield water polo player to score 100 career goals in the first match of the 2014 campaign...has scored 154 career goals, the seventh most in school history entering the 2015 season...led team with 55 goals and was 17th in MPSF in the category...made 40 steals (second on the team) and drew 34 ejections (the third most on the squad)...added 19 field blocks.
2013 (SOPHOMORE): Second on the team in goals with 45...was 23rd in the MPSF in goals per game (1.25)...recorded 22 assists, tying her for second on the team in the category with two others...tied for third on the team with Taylor Hanson in steals with 35...third on the team in ejections drawn with 35...made five field blocks.
2012 (FRESHMAN): Named to the WWPA All-Freshman team...selected to the ACWPC All-Academic Team...scored 54 goals, the 18th most in Division I...posted 67 points after adding 13 assists.
HIGH SCHOOL: A 2011 graduate of Grossmont High School...coach was Marcy Wilson... scored 181 goals and was named second team All-CIF as a senior...selected first team All-Grossmont Hills League as a senior and second team All-League as a junior..a two-time team MVP...named to the San Diego Union Tribune All-Academic Team honors on two occasions...lettered five different sports (cross country, swimming, track, volleyball, and water polo)...played for the San Diego Shores club team.
PERSONAL: Born Apr. 16, 1993...daughter of James and Sherrie Shelby...a liberal studies major.
