BAKERSFIELD HS: Macie Hammond was a standout swimmer at Bakersfield High School...team captain as a senior...named Most Improved her junior year...earned the Coach’s Award as a sophomore...earned the John Hillman Memorial Scholarship (Outstanding Female Swimming) and Ken Robesy Distinguished Service Award...helped the Drillers to the Southeast Yosemite League title in 2008...complied numerous academic awards including being honored by the National Honor Society and the California Scholarship Federation.

PERSONAL: Hammond is a nursing major at CSUB...enjoys cooking, baking spending time with her family relaxing and staying involved with her church...was the runner-up Miss Kern County in 2008...named Spirit of Junior Miss in 2008...earned special recognition at Junior Miss in 2008...honored with the Daughters of the American Revolution Good Citizen Award...father Ray Hammond wrestling at CSUB from 1982-86...parents are Ray and Lisa Hammond.
