Biography
2011-12 (R-JUNIOR): Raced primarily in the 100 and 200 backstrokes for UC Davis.
2010-11: Did not compete.
2009-10 (SOPHOMORE): Earned second swims in 500 freestyle, 400 individual medley and 200 butterfly at the Big West Championships as UC Davis won the team championship...finished 9th in the 400 IM at 4:29.42, the sixth best time in school history...added a 10th place showing in the 200 butterfly (2:07.28), then the ninth quickest time in school history...finished 12th in 500 free (5:07.75) and swam third leg of 400 medley relay ‘B’ team at conference championships...UC DAVIS WATER POLO: scored a goal with three assists in six games (38 minutes) as a reserve.
2008-09 (FRESHMAN): Advanced to finals in 400 IM and scored in 1,000 and 1,650 free at Big West Conference meet, amassing 21 points for UC Davis...finished
eighth in 400 IM (the sixth fastest in school history in the event), 11th in 1,650 free (17:58.12), and 13th in the 1,000 free (10:36.14).
HIGH SCHOOL: A 2008 graduate of Johansen High School...coach was Brent Bohlender...the Sac-Joaquin Section runner-up in 500 free as a senior...also won 200 free consolation final (1:57.75) at sections...earned Modesto Metro Conference MVP and fifth-team NISCA/Speedo All-America honors in water polo as a senior...Competed for Pirate Aquatics (Modesto) from 2006-08.
PERSONAL: Born Nov. 6, 1990...daughter of Jeff and Traci Hanson...earned a B.S. degree in human development from UC Davis and is earning a masters in biology at CSUB...sister Taylor is a member of the CSUB water polo team.
