California State University at Bakersfield Athletics

Michaela Paige joined the CSU Bakersfield swimming and diving coaching staff in summer of 2016 as a student assistant coach. Paige will assist Director of Swimming Chris Hansen with coaching the middle distance group.

After four-year letterwinner for the Roadrunners, Paige enjoyed one of the most illustrious careers in CSUB history. She was a three-time Western Athletic Conference Champion in individual races (2016 – 200 free; 2014 – 200 free and 500 free). Paige also earned first or second team All-WAC honors three other times while leading the ‘Runners to six relay titles (2016 – 400 free, 800 free, and 400 medley; 2015 – 800 free; 2014 – 400 free and 800 free).

Paige completed her eligibility while holding the CSUB records for 500 free and 200 fly as well as a part of the record-setting relay squad for the 400 medley, 400 free, and 800 free relays.  Paige also finished as second all-time for CSUB in the 200 free.

A native of Lompoc, Calif., Paige is concluding her studies at CSUB. She is working on a liberal studies major while finishing a minor in psychology.
