Biography
2011 (SOPHOMORE): After playing volleyball for two seasons for the ‘Runners, Fortin traded in her volleyball gear for a set of clubs and joined the CSUB women’s golf team.
2011 (SOPHOMORE): Fortin played in 11 matches in 2011, seeing time in 21 sets….Recorded two kills, one assist, 12 digs, four block assists and five services aces, which are all career highs….Played in the best match of her career when she posted a career-high four digs, two aces, three blocking assists and one kill in CSUB’s 3-0 victory Seattle at the Oregon State Active Ankle Challenge on Sept. 4.
2010 (FRESHMAN): Played in five matches for the CSUB volleyball team.
HIGH SCHOOL: Named the Desert Sky League MVP as a senior... earned all–area honors from the Desert Press as a junior and senior…chosen Citrus Belt Area and Granite Hills High School Athlete of the Year as a senior…led the Cougars to consecutive Desert Sky League titles in 2008 and 2009…led her Club West team to a bronze medal at JOs in 2009…an accomplished swimmer who twice earned All–DSL honors in the pool and was a CIF Southern Section Div. III finalist in 2008...won a Distinguished Scholar Award for 2010.
PERSONAL: A nursing major...aunt, Nancy Nicholls Lee, was a four-year letterwinner at Cal State Northridge.
