Biography
2018 Track (SOPHOMORE): Was a member of the track team but did not compete at any meets. 2017 Cross Country (R-FRESHMAN): Placed 25th in the 4k with a time of 16:35.1 at the Pepperdine Invitational...earned the fourth best 4k time in program history...rounded out the scoring five for the `Runners most of the season...posted a personal-best at the Mustang Challenge 5k (20:25.2).
2017 Track (FRESHMAN): Made Roadrunner debut Mar. 25 at the Cal Poly Invite...ran season-best 1500-meter time of 5:11.25 at the Fresno State Invite...finished 19th in 1500m prelims (5:39.08) at WAC Championships...posted season-best 11:32.88 in 3000m at Bulldog Open. 2016 Cross Country (REDSHIRT): Sat out the 2016 cross country season as a redshirt.
HIGH SCHOOL: A 2016 graduate of McFarland High School...coached by Amador Ayon...earned team’s Most Outstanding, MVP, and Coaches Award...earned first team All-Area...helped lead Cougars to be League Champions (2013-16)...won multiple Valley Championships (2013, 2014, 2016)...earned multiple scholarship awards (Jose Tofoya, Juanita Ayon, US Marine Corps Excellent Athletic Achievement)...played softball for the Cougars, were league champions. PERSONAL: Born on Mar. 21, 1998...parents are Javier and Olivia Holguin...major is Child Development...plans to become an elementary school teacher.
