Lina Nuñez ran in all seven races for the Roadrunners, finishing in the team top-five in every race...fastest 5K time was 19:33.20 at the 5K Roadrunner Invitational (Sept. 26), placing 16th overall...was the team’s third fastest 6K performer, running 23:49.8 at the UC Davis/Doc Adams Open (Oct. 3).
2007-08
Nuñez was CSUB’s top finisher in three cross country races during the 2007 season...won the Roadrunner Invitational with a season’s best time of 19:18...finished 45th at the Cal Poly Invitational to pace the ‘Runners in 20:05.5...was the top CSUB finisher at the Titan Invitational, placing 25th in 19:38...finished second with a season and team best time in the 1600m at the Lee Adams Invite, running 5:37.80...came in seventh in the 3,000m at the Cal State Challenge.
2006-07
Nuñez earned a personal best of 19:42.00 at the 2006 Roadrunner Invitational...also broke the 20-minute mark in the final meet of the season with a 19:36.00, 45th place finish at the Titan Invitational...competed in the 1,500m, 3,000m, two mile and 5,000m races during the 2007 spring track and field season...recorded a season-best 5:19.38 in the 1,500m...recorded a season-best 11:38.92 in the 3,000m...recorded a season-best 12:36.03 in the two mile...recorded a season-best 20:13.10 in the 5,000m.
EAST HS
Nuñez completed a highly successful prep career at East HS before joining the Roadrunners in the fall of 2006...was team MVP for the Blades three consecutive seasons in cross country and all four seasons of track and field...was a first-team All-Southeast Yosemite League selection in track and field...personal best of 19:56 at local Beech Park against Bakersfield HS in cross country...was also East’s Most Inspirational Player in soccer.

Nuñez is biology major at CSUB...parents are Nereo and Maria Nuñez.
