2009: Judith Mata showed a large amount of potential in her first year of competition for the Roadrunners in the distance events...ran 19:57.50 in the 5,000m at the Bryan Clay Invitational...also competed for the CSUB cross country team in the fall.

RIO MESA HS: Mata was a member of four Pacific View League cross country championship teams at Rio Mesa HS...named team MVP, Most Improved and Most Dedicated athlete...also played soccer.

PERSONAL: Mata is a physical education and kinesiology major at CSUB.
