(SENIOR CROSS COUNTRY): Led the Roadrunners in almost every meet of the season
and was the only member on the squad to earn a place on the All-Great West
Conference team after placing 12th with a 5K time of 19:23 at the GWC
Championship meet, which CSUB competed in for the first and last time in
2012…In her final cross country meet as a Roadrunner, Lopez placed 177th
(22:52) at the NCAA D-I West Regional Cross Country meet in Seattle…Placed 11th
at the Cal State Northridge Invitational 5K with a season-best time of
18:43.23…Put up a 6K time of 22:48.8 to take 59th place at the UC Riverside
Invite.
2012 TRACK AND FIELD (SOPHOMORE): At the Great West
Conference Championships, placed seventh in the 10,000-meter run with a time of
40:23.86 and 16th in the 5,000-meter run...Took 23rdth-place finish
in the 10,000 (39:04.80) at the Cal/Nevada Championships....Opened up the outdoor
season by placing ninth in the 5,000 B run (18:14.50) a the Ben Brown
Invitational....In the indoor season, placed eighth in the mile with a PR (5:42.81) at the
NAU Invite and 11th in the 3,000 with a time of 11:41.09 at the Lumberjack Invite. in the
1,500 (4:51.73) at the Steve Scott Invite...Posted a 17
2011 CROSS COUNTRY (SOPHOMORE):
Lopez made a big impact for the Roadrunners in her first year competing for
CSUB as she was the first Roadrunner to cross the finish line in four of CSUB's
seven meets...Led CSUB at the Asics/UC Irvine Invitational 5K (Sept. 10) when she
took 82nd with a 19:33.6, at the UCD Triton Classic (0ct. 8) when
she placed 13th in the 6K with a 23:34.7 and at the Cal State
Northridge Invite 6K when she took 27th with a 22:54.93...Put up the
fastest CSUB time at the NCAA West Regional in Palo Alto, Calif. (Nov. 12) when
she clocked a 6K time of 23:04 to place 162nd...Registered her 2011
season-best time at the Cal State Fullerton Titan Invitational (Oct. 21) when
she had a 5K time of 19:32.4 to place 66th.
2011
TRACK AND FIELD (SOPHOMORE): In her first season competing as a Roadrunner
after transferring to CSUB, her best performance came Took seventh in the 3,000 meter at
the Tommy Lister Classic (Apr. 23) with a time of 10:58.59.
(2009) MT. SAN
ANTONIO COLLEGE: In her only
year with the Mounties, Lopez was named to the All-South Coast Conference team
in 2009 as well as picking up all-state second team honors...ran both the 5k and
10k events.
BALDWIN PARK HIGH
SCHOOL: Led the Braves to
two Valle Vista track and field League titles as a junior and senior as well as
a cross country league title as a senior... named all-league as a sophomore,
junior and senior for cross country... named all-league as a senior for track and
field... named Baldwin Park's Athlete of the Year the same year.
PERSONAL: Lopez is a business management major at CSUB...
plans on becoming a preschool teacher after graduation...parents are Robert and
Veronica Lopez
