Former CSUB middle distance standout Wendi Plott begins her first season as the women's cross country assistant coach in 2008. Plott will be responsible for forming and implementing workouts, and assisting with meet organization and operations.
Upon arriving on the CSUB campus, Plott ran a wide variety of events, ranging from the 200 meters to the 400 hurdles before settling on the 800 as her primary focus. She currently holds the fifth fastest time in school history in the 800 meters at 2:12.38. Plott also earned CCAA Scholar?Athlete accolades during her time as a Roadrunner. Plott graduated from CSUB in 2005 with a degree in liberal studies.
Plott currently teaches fourth grade at Planz Elementary School in Bakersfield. She has coached the Planz Tracksters for the past two years.
