Biography
2022-2023 (R-SENIOR): Cross Country - Did not compete during Cross Country season. Indoor - Raced three times during her debut indoor season..Ran a 2:46.58 in the 800 meters at the New Mexico Team Open. Outdoor - Competed in seven meets..Ran a personal best in the 1,500 meters at the West Coast Relays.
2021-2022 (R-JUNIOR): Cross Country - Competed in two meets for the `Runners.
2020-2021 (REDSHIRT): Team did not compete due to COVID-19.
2019-2020 (SOPHOMORE): Ran in three meets this season...Posted personal-bests at the Masters University Invitational in the 3.11m race with a time of 22.18.8...improved her 6k time by nearly one minute as she finished with a time of 25:09.7 at the 2019 Highlander Invitational...bested her WAC Championships finish by four places.
2018-2019 (FRESHMAN): Was among CSU Bakersfield's women's cross country scoring five in her rookie season with the Roadrunners.
HIGH SCHOOL: A 2018 graduate of Ridgeview High School...Coach was Adam Setser and Greg Dabbs...Won cross country league championship, valley runner-up (2017)...named Most Inspirational (2016 track, 2016, 17 xc)...named track MVP (2018)...earned the Jockey Club Award for cross country (2017) and track (2018). PERSONAL: A native of Bakersfield, Calif...Major is English...Alea has an interest in teaching at a local high school.
