Biography
Cal State Los Angeles (2009–10): Rico ran one season for the Golden Eagles’ cross country team… finished 20th at regionals in the 6k (22:44).
Oxnard College (2006–09): Competed two seasons for the Condors… tabbed Western State Conference honorable mention both years… finished third in the 400 meters at conference in 2007… third place finisher at conference in the 800 meters in 2009… holds the school record in both the 400 and 800… received the Coaches Award, Most Inspirational Award and Most Valuable Runner Award during her time at Oxnard…was also a member of the Condors' women’s soccer team in 2006.
Santa Paula High School: Rico led the Cardinals to three Frontier League titles…was named to the all–league first team in 2003, 2004 and 2006…named to the second team in 2005… Team MVP in 2006.
Personal: Rico is a kinesiology major at CSUB… plans to become an athletic trainer after graduation and coach track and field and cross country…parents are Miguel and Martha Rico.
