Biography
2023 (R-JUNIOR): Represented CSUB in 12 meets during the season...Had four wins under his belt in both the SP and HT...Threw a personal best in both events at the conference championship meet...And moved up on the all-time list in them...Richardson is now the 14th best CSUB athlete in history in the shot put with a PB of 56'4.5" with his runner-up at the championship meet...Ranks 18th all-time in the hammer throw after throwing a 193'8" and placing fifth at Big West Championships.Â
2022 (R-SOPHOMORE): Appeared in 11 meets for the Roadrunners...Did not compete in the discuss throw this season...Focused on the shot put and the hammer throw...Placed first in the shot put two different meets during the season...Came in 4th place (53'7")Â in the shot put and fifth place (190'11") in the hammer throw at the Big West Championships.Â
2021 (R-FRESHMAN):Â Competed in 10 meets for CSUBÂ across three events (shot put, discus throw, and hammer throw) on the season...Threw a personal best in shot put (51'1.75") at the Long Beach Throws/Jumps meet...Reset his career marks in discus and hammer at the Big West Championships going the distance of 149'3" in discus and 172'0" in hammer...Never threw a foul in hammer.
2020 (REDSHIRT):Â Season was canceled due to COVID-19 pandemic.
HIGH SCHOOL: A 2019 graduate of Shafter High School...Coach was Matt Godbehere, former athlete under Coach Al Colatz...Named Most Outstanding Field Athlete in 2019...earned honor roll...Threw second best shot put mark with a throw of 59'8...Also played football. PERSONAL: Major is Liberal Studies...plans to become a teacher...Brother Greg Richardson threw shot put and hammer for UCD from 2016-19.
