2015 (SENIOR): Competed in the 800m race at six meets for the ‘Runners and the 1500m once…Posted a season-best time of 2:10.38 in 800m at CSUN Invitational to finish 14th…Ran 1500m at Fresno State’s Twilight meet in 4:36.04.

2014 (JUNIOR): Competed in the 800m race at six meets for the ‘Runners…Posted a season-best time of 2:10.31 in the 800 at the Pomona-Pitzer Invitational.

2013 (SOPHOMORE): Placed fourth in his section in the 800m with a time of 2:07.01 at the Tommy Lister Invitational…Finished at 4:22.42 for fourth at the Bryan Clay Invite in the 1500m...Also ran a team and career-best 2:06.32 in the 800-meter at the Bryan Clay Invite.

2012 (FRESHMAN): Placed 34th in the 400-meter at the Steve Scott Invite at UC Irvine with a time of 2:08.49 and placed 51st in the 1,500 at the same meet with a time of 4:39.32…Also ran in the 800, taking 66th with a 2:12.36 at the Bryan Clay Invite….In the indoor season, took first place in the mile run with a time of 5:04.54 at the NAU Open.

HIGH SCHOOL: Graduated from South High School, where he ran cross country and wrestled, in 2010…A highly awarded student as he was honored with the American Petroleum Institute Scholarship and the Society of Petroleum Engineers Scholarship…A member of the American Association of Drilling Engineers.

PERSONAL: Born on July 12, 1992…Anticipated major is chemical engineering with a minor in mathematics and music…Son of Rudy and Ina Castro…Hopes to work as a chemical or biochemical engineer after his time at CSUB...Is such a dedicated CSUB student-athlete that he has the Roadrunner logo tattooed on his right shoulder.
