Lina Nuñez ran the program’s 18th fastest 5,000 in program history (19:19.77) at UCLA’s JJK/RJ Invitational (4–10–10)...fastest 3,000 was 11:31.19 at the USC Trojan Invitational (3–20–10).
2009
Nuñez competed during the indoor season for the ‘Runners...had a season best time of 5:24.79 in the mile.
2008
Nuñez ran season best times of 5:03.39 in the 1,500m, 5:37.80 in the 1,600m (indoor) and 11:13.96 in the 3,000m.
2007
Nuñez recorded season best times of 5:19.38 in the 1,500m, 11:38.92 in the 3,000m, 12:36.03 in the two mile and 20:13.10 in the 5,000m...also ran cross country.
2006
Nuñez ran a season best 19:42.00 at the Roadrunner Invite...broke the 20-minute mark in the final meet of the season with a 19:36.00, 45th place finish at the Titan Invite.
East HS
Nuñez was East High School’s team MVP for the Blades three consecutive seasons in cross country and all four seasons of track and field...was a first-team All-Southeast Yosemite League selection in track...personal best of 19:56 at local Beech Park against Bakersfield HS in cross country...was also East’s Most Inspirational Player in soccer.
