Biography
2023 (SOPHOMORE): In his first season in a Bakersfield singlet, he was first on the team in four different events...Became ninth in program history for the 1,500 meters with a time of 3:55.37...Posted a 15:07.22 at the Fresno State Invitational, good for seventh all-time for Bakersfield...Ran the 1,500 meters at the Big West Track and Field Championships, ran a 4:00.25.
PRIOR TO CSUB: Competed for two seasons at Bakersfield College…Coached by Pam Kelley and Cesar Mireles…A two-time Two-Year College All-American in cross country (XC)…Earned All-Conference honors twice in XC an four times in track (1500, 5000)…Won the conference 1500 title in 2022 and the XC league championship in 2021.
HIGH SCHOOL: A 2021 graduate of Highland High School…Coached by Rick Mayberry and Rick Hitchcock…A two-time All-League honoree in (XC) and once in track…Joined the 500 mile club in 2020 and won the Central Section XC Championship…On the track, was the 2019 1600-meter Central Section Champion…Helped lead the Scots’ XC team to three-straight league titles…Reset school records in the 5k (15:16) and 3-mile races (15:03)…Personal bests on the track: 1600 (4:17), 800 (2:00), 3200 (9:41)…Earned the Scholar-Athlete Award all four years.
PERSONAL: A biology major who hopes to become a biology teacher or clinical lab scientist after his time at CSUB.
