2016 (SENIOR): Competed in distance races and posted fastest 3000m time of season for CSUB…Opened season with best 3000m time (10:37.87) at Cal State LA Invitational…Ran season-best 18:38.68 in 5000m at BC Relays…Finished with season-best time of 4:45.42 in 1500m at Pomona-Pitzer Invite.

2015 (JUNIOR): Ran the 1500m, 3000m, and 5000m events for the ‘Runners…Recorded personal best time of 4:32.82 in 1500m at Pomona-Pitzer Invite…Finished 3000m in 10:06.04 at Cal State LA Invite…Ran 5000m in 17:53.63 at Cal Poly Invite.

2014 (SOPHOMORE): Ran the 1500m, 3000m, and 5000m events for the ‘Runners…Recorded season best times of 17:56.90 in the 5000 and 10:00.98 in the 3000…Posted a collegiate best time of 4:33.15 in the 1500 at the Ben Brown Invitational…Inducted into the National Honor Society of Leadership for work in the classroom and was an important part of the men’s track team which was honored with a USTFCCCA All-Academic Team award for having a 3.00 or above cumulative GPA.

2013 (FRESHMAN): Ran long distances for the ‘Runners…Clocked in a personal-best 9:47.61 in the 3000m at the CSUN Invite…Recorded a 17:44.69 in his lone 5k race of the year…Finished with 4:40.87 in the 1500k at the Bulldog Open.

HIGH SCHOOL: Compiled an impressive resume as a distance runner for the Generals’ track and field and cross country teams…Named a 2012 United States Army Reserve National Scholar Athlete and won the CAL-SOAP Scholarship…Named Shafter cross country’s most outstanding runner in 2009-10, the 2010 track outstanding runner and earned the cross country and track and field senior service award…Helped the Generals earn the CIF Division III Central Section cross country championship in 2011, as well as three-peat as the South Sequoia League Champions (2009-11)…Also played soccer and wrestled at Shafter.

PERSONAL: Born May 10, 1994 in Bakersfield…Son of Robert and Maria Manzo…A PEAK major who hopes to get his PhD in physical therapy after his time at CSUB… Hobbies include listening to music, hanging out with friends, having a good time, and spending time with family.
