2007: Season-best time of 6:13.64 in the 1500m.

2006: Season-best times of 2:57.54 in the 800m and 5:54.39 in the 1500m.

LIBERTY HS: Leyva was a four-sport athlete at Liberty High School, competing in track & field, cross country, soccer and swimming for the Patriots...three-year varsity letterwinner in both track & field and swimming...helped the soccer team to a Valley Championship in 2002.

PERSONAL: Leyva is a nursing major at CSUB...plans to become a pediatric nurse...enjoys snowboarding.
