Biography
2019 (SOPHOMORE): Competed in eight meets for CSU Bakersfield in the hammer and javelin throws...tallied a career-high mark in hammer at the 2019 Cal Poly Shareslo.com Invitational (44.08m, 144'7")...his best finishes were second in hammer at the SBCC Easter Open (43.39, 142'4") and placed fifth in the javelin twice...worked at Riverlakes Golf Course.
2018 (FRESHMAN): Competed in eight meets with the track & field team...posted five top 10 marks between the 200-meter a)nd 400-meter events...took first-place in the decathlon 100-meter (11.59) and 400-meter (52.02) events...worked as a server at a local restaurant and golf course over the summer.
HIGH SCHOOL: A 2017 graduate of North High School…coached by Adam Dawson…named Team MVP…also competed in football for the Stars…competed in the state championship meet during his senior season...earned a spot in the National Honor Society. PERSONAL: Born Aug. 27, 1998…son of Wayne and Nicole Melson…major is Business...plans to join the Air Force after graduation.Â
