2016 (SOPHOMORE): Posted fastest 100m and 200m times of season of Roadrunners…Opened season with new personal best in 100m (11.27) to finish 14th at Cal State LA Invite…Lowered 100m PR four more times including best mark of 11.04 to finish 12th in prelims of WAC Outdoors…Reset 200m PR by .01 seconds twice: 22.90 to finish 12th at Fresno State and fifth at CenCal Twilight…Ran 23.61 to finish 19th in prelims at WAC Outdoors.

2015 (FRESHMAN): Ran in 100m and 200m dashes at multiple meets for CSUB and recorded fastest times of season for the ‘Runners in both events…Debuted with season best in 100m at Cal State LA Invitational (11.28)…Registered season best at Bryan Clay Invite with time of 22.91 in 200m.

HIGH SCHOOL: A 2014 graduate of Santa Fe High School...Coach was Edward McElroy...Earned numerous accolades in his prep career including Whittier City Athlete of the Year (2014), All-Area twice, and MVP as well…Helped lead the Chiefs to Del Rio League Championships in 2013 and 2014…also played football for SFHS and helped guide the team to CIF-SS playoffs twice…Earned spots on Principal’s Honor Roll and Honor Roll all four years.

PERSONAL: Born Mar. 6, 1996...Son of Karnell and Martha Cervantes...Plans to major in business administration and get a minor in accounting…Hopes to become a financial analyst for sports companies after his time at CSUB…Enjoys listening to classical music, writing poetry, skating, and watching Netflix in his free time.
