Amanda Hansen enters her second season as an assistant coach for the Cal State Bakersfield Softball team in Fall of 2023.
As a member of the Long Beach State softball team (2012-2015), Hansen helped lead the 49ers to a 2014 Big West title. Along the way, she earned First Team All-Big West honors in the circle, posting a 19-8 record with 13 complete games, six shutouts, and 82 strikeouts on the season.
Hansen wrapped up four seasons at LBSU with a career 3.90 ERA over 395.0 innings pitched, 195 strikeouts, nine shutouts, and 29 complete games. After completing her eligibility, Hansen jumped right into the coaching scene, finishing her degree while aiding LBSU as an Undergraduate Assistant Coach.
Hansen went on to immerse herself in the professional softball world over the next several years. Most recently, she was a Volunteer Assistant Coach at American River College (2020), an Athlete Retention Technician and Volunteer Assistant Coach at Mesa Community College (2021), and a Volunteer Assistant Coach at Golden West College (2022). In her year at GWC, Hansen helped a pair of Rustler pitchers drop their ERAs by four points or more compared to their 2021 results.
A native of San Diego, Hansen now lives in Bakersfield.
