Biography

2022 (R-SENIOR): One of three `Runners to start all 45 games…Ranked third on the team in batting average (.220) and second in runs scored (13), triples (3), and RBI (7)…Finished collegiate career with 16 triples, ranked 16th among all active NCAA student-athletes…Was a perfect 10-for-10 on stolen bases…Tallied five outfield assists on the year…Hit .355 in 2-out situations on the year…During the series with UC Santa Barbara, went 4-for-7 with three RBI and two triples…Earned Academic All-Big West honors.

PRIOR TO CSUB (2018-21): A graduate transfer from Hawai’i Pacific…Coached by Jarnett Lono…Played four seasons for the Sharks, including COVID-shortened 2020 and 2021 seasons…HPU earned a 76-71 (.517) record in her time as a Shark…Named to All-PacWest Teams in 2021, 2019, and 2018…HPU Stats: .337 BA, 120 H, 17 2B, 13 3B, 6 HR, 49 RBI, 89 R, 42 BB, 60 SO, 57 SB.

HIGH SCHOOL: A 2017 graduate of Campbell High School in Ewa Beach, Hawai’i…Coached by Michael “Shag” Hermosura…Helped lead Sabers to State Championships in 2015, 2016, and 2017…Earned First Team All-State and All-League in 2017 and All-League in 2016.

PERSONAL: Born Dec. 31, 1999…Daughter of Rick and Meka Curran…Earned a bachelor’s of criminal justice in Spring 2021, now working on a master's in public administration…Mother, Meka, played at Hawaii Pacific from 1996-99 and cousin, Kailin Curran, was a UFC fighter...Both Cieana and her older sister, Cydney, played their final year of eligibility together on the CSUB softball team.
