Biography

2024 (SENIOR): Appeared in 15 games starting in three, pitching 32.1 innings while striking out 13... Had a career day verses UC Riverside on May 10 pitching 6.2 innings striking out four Highlanders while allowing only two runs. 

2023 (JUNIOR): Appeared in 31 games starting 26 for CSUB last season... Led the team in complete games (8), innings pitched 121.1, and strikeouts (53). Earned her first and the team's first win Feb. 17 vs. Montana, pitching the entirety of the game which last nine innings, giving up only one hit and striking out four. In the UNLV Classic, Sanchez had a 2-1 record, 2.16 ERA with three complete games over 22.2 innings of work. 

PRIOR TO CSUB: Competed at the University of New Mexico under Coach Paula Congleton…Started with solid freshman season, posting a 4.50 ERA in 16 appearances…In 2022, threw 10.2 innings in relief over 12 appearances…UNM career statistics: 36 appearances, six starts, 50.1 IP, 1-6, 20 K, 43 BB, 7.93 ERA…Named to Academic All-Mountain West Team in Spring 2020.

HIGH SCHOOL: A 2019 graduate of Bishop Amat Memorial High School in La Puente, Calif.…Earned a spot on the honor roll and was a NHS and CSF member…Played travel ball for So Cal Athletics – Bagatourian.

PERSONAL: A biology and psychology major working on a minor in criminal justice…Hopes to attend grad school or med school after her time at CSUB.
