San Jose City College: Alyssa Walker joins the Roadrunner pitching staff after leading San Jose City to the Coast Conference South Division title in 2010…led the conference with a 15–3 record and a 0.67 ERA…fanned 124 batters against just 16 walks in 121 innings…earned Coast Conference Pitcher of the Year as well as all–conference and all–state recognition as a sophomore…garnered similar honors as a freshman, when she finished 17–3 with 112 strikeouts in 115 innings…also led the conference with a 1.09 ERA…was a teammate of Roadrunner catcher Tera Macias at SJCC
High School: Alyssa earned Blossom Valley Athletic League Pitcher of the year honors as a senior, guiding Pioneer High School to a CIF Central Coast Section Div. II quarterfinal berth…named the outstanding single sport athlete at Pioneer as a senior.
Personal: Alyssa graduated with an associate’s degree in liberal arts from San Jose City College last spring…earned academic scholar–athlete recognition at both the high school and junior college levels…is majoring in business with a concentration in accounting at CSUB…answers to the nickname Lyss.
