Biography
2019-20 (FRESHMAN): Eight top-10 finishes...Placed 2nd in the 200 IM with a time of 1:55.90 against Fresno Pacific...Swam personal bests in the 100 Breast (1:00.78) and the 200 Breast (2:16.63) during the preliminaries at the Pepperdine Winter Invitational.
HIGH SCHOOL: A 2019 graduate of Palisades Charter High School in Los Angeles, Calif...coached by Maggie Nance...set the school record in the 200 individual medley and was named team MVP...competed at CIF Championships three-straight years...in 2019, won CIF titles in 100 breast, 200 IM, 200 medley relay, and 400 free relay...earned silver medal in the 200 IM and helped team win 200 free relay and 400 free relay gold in 2018...competed in State Championships in 2018 (200 IM) and 2019 (100 breast and 200 IM)...placed sixth in 200 IM at CIF meet in 2017...two-time member of the honor roll.Â
PERSONAL: Born on October 25, 2000 in Los Angeles, Calif...son of Mariana Vayanas...business major who hopes to go into film production after his time at CSUB...cousins, Thanasi and Anna Panagiotakopoulos, played collegiate basketball (Colorado State) and volleyball (Arizona), respectively.
