Biography
2010: Lowered his personal best 100 back time to 48.89, effectively taking over the No. 1 spot in the all-time CSUB record book…the mark was good for third place in the Conference USA Championships finals and an NCAA “B” cut time…also swam a 1:48.32 in the 200 back, lowering his best mark, which is the No. 3 top time in CSUB history…was the leadoff leg of the school-record setting 200 medley and 400 medley relay teams…both times were set at the C-USA Championships and were NCAA “B” cut times…other top time was 22.21 in the 50 free.
2009: Continued to reign as the team leader in the backstroke, earning a third place finish in the 100 back and fourth place finish in the 200 back at the Conference USA Championships…third place time of 49.97 was a season best while his 1:49.04 mark in the 200 back broke his personal best from 2008, lowering his then third place mark on CSUB’s all-time list… was also the backstroke leg of the 200 and 400 medley relay teams throughout the season.
2008: Made the most of his rookie season at CSUB, planting his name in the school’s record book for the 100 and the 200 backstroke events…his third place Conference USA Championships finish of 49.05 in the 100 back set a then Roadrunners school record while his 1:49.14, second place C-USA finish in the 200 back was then the third fastest in ‘Runner history…was also the backstroke leg of the 200 and 400 medley relay teams throughout the season.
Prior To CSUB: Swam for the Jadran Swim Club in Split, Croatia…placed sixth in the 50 backstroke at the 2007 European Junior Championships…finished seventh in the 50 backstroke and 12th in the 100 backstroke at the 2006 Junior World Championships…placed 17th in both the 50 backstroke and 100 backstroke at the 2006 European Junior Championships in Palma, Spain.
Personal: A computer science major at CSUB…parents are Ozren and Marijana Leskur…born Mar. 22, 1989, in Split, Croatia.
