Biography
2011-12 (SOPHOMORE): Finished seventh at the CCCAA State Championship meet in the 1m diving competion...placed third at the Southern California Community College Diving Championships in 3m diving.
2010-11 (FRESHMAN): Qualified for the NCAA Division II National Championships for Colorado Mesa University (then known as Mesa State) in both the 1m and 3m diving events...placed third at the RMAC Championships in the 3 meter competition...was named third team All-Conference in the in the 1m and 3m.
HIGH SCHOOL: A 2010 graduate of El Camino High School...coach was Marine Young...a four-time All-League selection...team finished ninth at CIF Championships during senior season…chosen All-CIF three times…an AP scholar and a North County scholar athlete.
PERSONAL: Born Mar. 29, 1992...son of David and Susan Acosta...a history major...brother AJ ran for the University of Oregon and qualified for the Olympic Trials.
