Biography
North HS: Jacob Montecino was a two-time team captain of his varsity swim squad at Bakersfield’s North High School…voted Most Improved in 2006, Team MVP in 2007 and 2008, and Most Inspirational in 2009…earned the team’s Star Award in 2009…helped the Stars to the Dick Greys Memorial Southwest Yosemite League Relay Meet Championship in 2007-09…four-time scholar-athlete…cumulative 4.2 GPA…academic honors included the Norris Middle School Alumni Scholarship, the California Scholarship Federation Scholarship and the Parent Teach Club Scholarship…also competed for the Riptide Swim Club.
Personal: Montecino will major in either psychology or criminal justice at CSUB…plans to pursue a career as a criminal psychologist…hobbies and interests include lifeguarding, coaching swimming and volleyball, camping, hiking, going to church and spending time with friends…parents are Isreal and Janet Montecino…born Sept. 15, 1991, in Bakersfield, Calif.
