Fran Cverle is in his third season as an assistant coach for the CSUB Bakersfield men’s and women’s swimming program. 

After taking the past two seasons off, Cverle has returned to the staff.  

Cverle swam for CSUB for three seasons after transferring from Limestone College in South Carolina. Cverle joins the CSUB staff after graduating with his degree in Business Administration. While swimming for the ‘Runners, Cverle earned Academic All-Conference honors two years in a row while being one of Bakersfield’s top all-time sprinters. He owns the fourth fastest time in school history in the 50 free and the seventh fastest time in the 100 free. Cverle is also part of five different relays that are ranked among Bakersfield’s top five all-time.

Cverle is a native of Zagreb, Croatia and is working on his MBA.
