Student Health Center
The goal of Student Health Services is to assist each student to maintain their maximum physical and mental health. Student Health Services provides basic outpatient care services including medical evaluation and counseling, laboratory tests, X-rays, contraception and family planning, programs in health education, emergency first aid for injuries on campus, medications, physical examinations, and immunizations.
The Student Health Services building is open Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. until 5 p.m. with no appointments between 12 and 1 p.m.. The Health Center can be found via our campus map campus map

Counseling Center
The Counseling Center offers short term counseling to help students with personal, academic, and career concerns. The primary goal of counseling is to help students develop the personal awareness and skills necessary to overcome problems and to grow and develop in ways that will allow them to take advantage of the educational opportunities at CSU Bakersfield. Numerous services are offered including, but not limited to, brief individual therapy, group therapy, workshops, psychiatric services, general studies courses. Multicultural Alliance and Gender Equity Center (MAGEC)
The Multicultural Alliance and Gender Equity Center (MAGEC) is a division of Student Affairs that aims to uplift, validate and support students of all cultural backgrounds, religious beliefs, sexual orientations, and gender identities. The MAGEC center can be found via our campus map

Dreamers Resource Center
The CSUB Dreamers Resource Center (DRC) is dedicated to providing support and resources for students who are undocumented, AB-540 recipients, DACA recipients, or from mixed-status families. The Dreamers Resource Center staff can assist with DACA renewals, AB-540 applications, CA Dream Act Application (CADA), and any other supporting documents. Furthermore, the DRC staff assists students with any questions they may have regarding their immigration status or the legal status of family members. As a center, we strive to cultivate a sense of belonging by providing students with programming and services that will enhance their college experience and help foster lifelong success. the Dreamers Center can be found via our campus map

CARE Team (Caring Advocates and Responsive Engagement Team)
The mission of the CARE Team is to improve the well-being and success of CSUB students through a campus-wide team response that includes strategizing possible solutions and resources to address the needs of individual students of concern. CARE Team Referral Form
The CSUB CARE Team (Caring Advocates & Responsive Engagement Team) provides a coordinated assessment of students of concern and provides services and resources to ensure their success and well-being. For emergency concerns including but not limited to, suicide attempt, threat to self or others, and/or significant behavior concerns.
Contact the University Police Department at (661) 654-2111, CSUB Crisis Line (661) 654-3366 (press 2), and/or the Dean of Students Office at (661) 654-2680 who will gather the BART (Behavioral Assessment Intervention and Response Team) to determine an action plan.
Food Pantry
The CSU Bakersfield Food Pantry is open and available to all students, staff and faculty. The food pantry is organized by the CSUB Food and Housing Security Committee, the Sustainability Department, and the Executive Director of Associated Students, Inc. The main goals of the project are to increase food security, reduce food waste, and expand nutritional offerings at CSUB. The Food Pantry can be found via our campus map
How does it work?
Each person who visits the pantry is allotted one visit per week and is allowed to use up to 16 points per visit. The items are broken down as follows:
1 point for a side dish or non-food item (e.g. granola bar or toiletry item)
2 points for a one meal item (e.g. canned soup or top ramen)
3 points for items lasting multiple meals (e.g. box of pasta or boxed cereal)
