2006: Daniel Alejandro continued to see limited action as a sophomore as he attempted to improve and break into the starting lineup…saw some success despite his short time on the mat, though…missed becoming a placewinner at the Fullerton Open by just one match when he lost to eventual third-place finisher Will Brown of Fresno Pacific…also just missed being a placewinner at the Menlo College Invitational by one match…his loss in that tournament in the first round came against Charlie Pingleton of Indianapolis, who ended up placing second…reached the semifinal of the California Collegiate Invitational and ended up dropping a 10-9 decision to eventual champion Mark Pfeiffer of Chadron State.

2005: Alejandro saw got his feet wet at the collegiate level as a freshman in 2005…was 3-4 overall with a pin…won the only dual match he wrestled against Steve Esparza of Cal Poly…first collegiate pin came against Jose Sanchez of Menlo College at the Fullerton Open.
2004: Alejandro redshirted at CSUB in 2004…placed fifth at the Aggie Open as an unattached wrestler with a 5-2 record.

SULTANA HS: Alejandro wrestled for Sultana HS where he helped his team reach the CIF Southern Section Division II postseason on two separate occasions…he was also a two-time team MVP and built up an impressive 47-7 record during his senior year…Alejandro was the tournament champion at the Rosemead West Coast Classic before becoming the CIF Southern Section Division II champion at 135 pounds…went onto place second at the CIF Southern Section Masters tournament and was seventh in the state…defeated Clovis High’s Jason Williams in the seventh-place match of the CIF State Championships.
