Biography
UNIV. OF PITTSBURGH: Hjorth came to CSUB by way of the University of Pittsburgh...swam one season for the Panthers, setting season-bests of 21.65 in the 50 free, 46.31 in the 100 free, and a team-best 50.29 in the 100 fly...also competed on the 200 and 400 medley relay teams and the 200 and 400 free relay teams.
PRIOR TO CSUB: Hjorth was on the Denmark junior national team in 2002 and 2003...competed in the 100 freestyle on the junior national team...competed on Denmark’s third-ranked swim team, the Lyngby Swim Club, in 2004...earned a medal at the Denmark 2005 national championships...placed in the top 10 in seven different events.
PERSONAL: Hjorth is a business administration major at CSUB...plans on becoming a stock broker following gradtuation...parents are Henning Hjorth and Else Engberg....born in Fredericia, Denmark.
