Biography
2009: Richie Kernagis played in all three fall 2008 tournaments as a true freshman...shot an even par 71 in the third round of the Coast BMW College Challenge and tied for 19th with teammate Jason Errecart...finished 41st at the Santa Clara Invitational...carded an even par round of 71 at the Bill Cullum Invitational.
Red Mountain HS: Kernagis earned first team all-state honors as a senior while leading his team to its fourth-consecutive regional championship...a two-time first team all-region performer...won the individual regional title in 2008...awarded the Jason Jensen Team MVP Award in 2008...played for coach Steve Ross.
Personal: Kernagis is a business major at CSUB...brother, Robbie, played golf at York College in York, Pa....interests include fishing, basketball, poker, snowboarding, wakeboarding and hanging out with friends.
