Biography
2023 (R-SOPHOMORE): Had a break out year during his second season at CSUB...Had two wins in the shot put in his sophomore year...Became 9th all-time in program history in the SP with his mark of 57'10.25"...Also made it 11th all-time in the hammer throw (195'10")...Placed sixth overall at the conference meet in the shot put after throwing a 54'6.5". In the hammer throw, marked a 180'5" and was eleveth at the Big West championships.
2022 (R-FRESHMAN): Appeared in twelve meets during his redshirt freshman season for the Roadrunners...Consistently competed in both the shot put and hammer throw...Opened up the season with a win in the HT (175'2") at the Fresno Pacific Sunbird Invitational...Fouled out in the HT and placed 11th overall (50'8.75") in the shot put at the Big West Conference Championships.Â
2021 (REDSHIRT):Â Opted out of the season.
HIGH SCHOOL: A 2020 graduate of Stockdale High School...Named team MVP...Earned Kern High School Disctrict Jockey Club honors...Helped lead the Mustangs to a SWYL championship...Was 2x captain for track and field at SHS...Also played football. PERSONAL: Major is Pre-Law...Prefers to go by Matt...Plans to continue school at a school of law following graduation.
