2006: Brandon Ceremello developed into CSUB’s main wrestler at 184 pounds as a sophomore… turned in a 5-15 record while going 2-9 in duals…missed becoming a placewinner at the California Open by just one match while taking losses to the eventual fifth and sixth place finishers…earned dual meet wins with a pin against Tyler Bernacchi of UC Davis and a 6-4 decision against Kyle Bressler of Oregon State…placed third at the California Collegiate Invitational…pinned Cal Poly’s Chris Angle in the third-place match…also earned a major decision against Josh Majerus of Chadron State after losing in the first round to eventual champion Greg Gifford of Fresno State…finished the year losing a pair of matches without a win at the Pac-10 Championships.

2005: Ceremello saw immediate action for the Roadrunners in 2005, posting a 6-7 record overall while filling in at 184 pounds…earned his first collegiate pin during the Reno Tournament of Champions over Kevin Grece of Central Missouri in 4:26…picked up a 3-0 dual meet victory over Sean Murphy of Portland State for his first dual meet win of his young career.

CLOVIS HS: Ceremello wrestled to a 197-26 record in four years at Clovis HS…helped the Cougars to 2003 CIF State Championship where he was a placewinner…also named team MVP and received all-state honors as a senior…CIF Central Section Master’s Champion in 2003…also four-year letterwinner in swimming and water polo.

PERSONAL: Major is nursing at CSUB…parents are Robert and Gayla Ceremello.
