Biography

2018-19 (R-JUNIOR): Finished the season with a 2-5 record at 184 pounds...was 0-1 in dual action, losing to Life Pacific's Gerardo Hernandez 9-5...earned a victory at the Roadrunner Open and at the Reno Tournament of Champions, both by major decision.

2017-18 (R-SOPHOMORE): Finished the season with an 11-7 record...scored two victories by decision, five by major decision, one by tech fall and three by pin...pinned UNLV's Manuel Monroy (0:47) at the Roadrunner Open...won seven of his final nine matches...pinned Stanford's Judah Duhm at the Menlo Open...went 4-1 at the Cali Collegiate and scored a 17-1 tech fall over Nolan Daovinac.

2016-17 (R-FRESHMAN): Selected first team Academic All-Conference...placed sixth at the Pac-12 Tournament at 174 pounds...was fifth at the Roadrunner Open, going 3-2 during the tournament...went 2-2 at the Reno Tournament of Champions...finished season with a 7-17 record. 

2015-16 (REDSHIRT): Sat out the season at CSU Bakersfield...saw time at both 174 and 184 pounds...finished third at 184 pounds at the California Open...placed fourth at 174 at the San Francisco State Open...recorded a 9-9 record in five open tournaments.

HIGH SCHOOL: A 2015 graduate of Gilroy High School...coach was Greg Varlea...finished fifth at the state tournament at 170 pounds as a junior and was fifth at the state tournament at 195 pounds as a senior.

PERSONAL: Born Oct. 31, 1996...son of Maryann Penyacsek...a business management major...twin brother Mark is also be a member of the CSU Bakersfield wrestling team.
