2014-15 (R-JUNIOR):  Went 14-7 with one pin, and four technical falls before having season ended due to a shoulder injury at the California Collegiate Open...finished second at the Roadrunner open...was 2-2 at the Cliff Keen Las Vegas Invite.

2013-14 (R-SOPHOMORE): Became the first CSU Bakersfield wrestler to earn All-American honors since 2010 with an eighth place showing at the NCAA Championships...repeated as Pac-12 Champion at 174 pounds winning two of his three conference tournament matches via pinfall...was fourth at the Roadrunner Open and sixth at the Cliff Keen Las Vegas Invitational...finished season with a 24-14 record and six pins despite missing five weeks of the season due to injuries...tied with Reuben Franklin for second on team in victories.

2012-13 (R-FRESHMAN): Won the 174-pound title at the Pac-12 Championships...went 3-0 during the league meet including a victory over the No. 1 seed, Arizona State’s Blake Stauffer in the finals...went 1-2 at the NCAA Division Championshiops...finished the regular season ranked in five polls...won first eight matches of season including the tournament title at the San Francisco State Open...was fourth at the Reno Tournament of Champions...came in fifth at the Cliff Keen Las Vegas Invitational...placed seventh at the Midlands Championships...led team in victories with 34 (34-10)...was third on the team in pins with five.

2011-12 (REDSHIRT): Sat out the season as a redshirt at CSU Bakersfield...competed at three open meets...won the California Collegiate Open at 174 pounds...finished sixth at the Renio Tournament of Champions at 174...was 1-2 at the Midlands Championships at 174...placed seventh at 79KG at the FILA Junior Nationals to earn his spot in the Fila Junior World Team Trials.

HIGH SCHOOL: A 2011 graduate of Bakersfield High School...coach was former CSUB wrestler Andy Varner...a two-time CIF State Champion and two-time National Champion...the No. 1 ranked wrestler at 160 pounds during his senior season..selected Bakersfield Californian All-Area Wrestler of the Year in 2010 and 2011...recorded a fourth place showing at the state meet as a sophomore at 152 pounds...a Fargo Cadet Finalist who has also earned NHSCA Southern National, 5-Counties, and Temecula Valley Championships in his career.  

PERSONAL: Born May 4, 1992, son of Ray and Lisa Hammond...an ag business major....brother Coleman is a member of the wrestling team at CSU Bakersfield...father Ray wrestled at CSUB.
