2018-17 (R-SENIOR): Qualified for the third and final NCAA Championships with an at-large selection due to placing fourth at the Pac-12 Championships....finished career in 26th on CSUB's all-time career wins list with 87...became the first `Runner since his brother Bryce Hammond to reach the NCAA three times in a career....went 0-2 at the NCAA Tournament...finished the season with a 27-16 record...was 11-5 in duals and 2-2 in Pac-12 dual action...recorded 10 decisions, six major decisions, seven tech falls and three pins...went 4-1 at Roadrunner Open to finish third...finished 6-2 and placed sixth at the Cliff Kleen Tournament in Las Vegas...earned six victories at Southern Scuffle to place fourth...tech falled Parker Simington and Alexander Mossing of Air Force and pinned Chattanooga's Ryan Resnick (0:59) and Appalachian State's Lake Cook (3:22)...won by tech fall (16-0) over Jett Moy of Cal Poly in regular season and defeated him 11-0 at the Pac-12 Championship to earn a trip to nationals...named second team Academic All-Conference. 

2016-17 (R-JUNIOR): Qualified for the NCAA Championships at 149 pounds by finishing second at the Pac-12 Championships, losing 8-2 in the finals to Arizona State’s Josh Maruca...went 1-2 at the NCAA Tournament...named second team Academic All-Conference...Won his first 10 matches of the season including a first place showing at the Roadrunner Open...was 2-2 at the Cliff Keen Las Vegas Invitational...went 2-2 at the Midlands...finished season with an 18-8 record and two pins.

2015-16 (R-SOPHOMORE): Went 3-0 at the App State Duals...finished fourth at the Roadrunner Open...was 1-2 at the CKLV...lone victory was a pin of the third seed, Virginia Tech’s Sal Mastriani...was 5-2 at the RTOC, missing placing by one match...finished dual season with a 10-4 record...came in fourth at the Pac-12 Championships to earn an at-large bid to the NCAA Tournament...went 2-2 at the national tournament to complete the season with a 23-15 record...had three pins.

2014-15 (R-FRESHMAN): Was 1-2 at the CK Las Vegas Invitational...finished second at the Reno Tournament of Champions, winning first four matches before losing 3-0 to Ohio’s Tywan Claxton in the finals...went 2-2 at the Midlands Championships...took home top honors at the California Collegiate Open at 149 pounds with a 4-0 records...outscored his opponents 53-12 during the tournament...extended winning streak to eight with a 4-0 victory over Jake Velarde of Boise State Feb. 6...placed fourth at the Pac-12 Championships with a 1-2 record...ended season with a 19-11 record and two pins.

2013-14 (REDSHIRT): Placed fifth at the Roadrunner Open at 149...posted a 7-6 record in three open tournaments.

HIGH SCHOOL: A 2013 graduate of Bakersfield High School...coach was former CSU Bakersfield wrestler Andy Varner...became the first four-time All-American wrestler in California history when he placed fourth at the 2013 Senior Nationals...won freshman and sophomore national championships and was third in Junior Nationals....a four-time first team All-League selection...a three-time state placewinner including a third place showing at 152 as a junior and fourth place finish at 152 as a senior...named team MVP on two occasions...graduated with a 3.5 GPA.

PERSONAL: Born Jan. 9, 1994...son of Ray and Lisa Hammond...a business administration major...hopes to become a farmer after his time at CSUB...brother Bryce was a member of the wrestling team at CSU Bakersfield...father Ray also wrestled at CSUB...married to Brooke Hammond.
