2016 (SENIOR): Competed in 800m and 1500m for CSUB…Opened season with season-best 1500m time of 4:11.71 at Cal State LA Invite…Posted personal best 800m time (1:55.02) in third-place finish at Fresno State…Mark was fast enough to rank 18th all-time for CSUB…Finished sixth in 800m at WAC Outdoors with time of 1:55.93 to earn Second Team All-Conference honors.

2015 (JUNIOR): Competed in 800m at eight meets for the ‘Runners…Debuted with worst time of season at Cal State LA Invitational (1:58.87), but worked time down three seconds over the season…Posted personal best of 1:55.90 to finish 14th at Pomona-Pitzer Invite…Time is just over half a second outside of CSUB Top 20 in 800m…Finished 10th in prelim of 800m at WAC Outdoors (1:57.37), did not advance to final.

2013-14 (JUNIOR COLLEGE): Was a member of the San Diego Mesa College track and field team…Coached by Renee Ross and Monique Henderson…Ran in the 400m and 800m races…Helped guide the Olympians to become PCAC Champions both seasons…Earned a pre-engineering AA.

HIGH SCHOOL: A 2012 graduate of Horizon Christian Academy...Coached by Becky Kirsininkas…Was team captain as a junior and senior and was named All-Conference and Team MVP in 2011…Also played football and soccer for the Panthers…Earned Second Team All-Defense in 2012 for football and was First Team All-Conference, Second Team All-CIF (D5) and team captain for soccer.

PERSONAL: Born on Feb. 10, 1994…Son of Ed and Melissa Lovato…An engineering science major…Enjoys surfing and snorkeling.
