PORTLAND STATE: Thomas Cottrell wrestled for Portland State in 2008-09 before transferring to CSUB after the Vikings discontinued their program…went 10-20 during his rookie season.

CHATSWORTH HS: Cottrell was a four-year wrestling letterwinner at Chatsworth High School…two-time team MVP…two-time all-area selection…also a two-time letterwinner in football…three-time letterwinner as a pole vaulter on the track and field team.

PERSONAL: Cottrell is an economics major at CSUB…also pursuing a minor in political science…parents are Joe and Kathy Cottrell…born Mar. 27, 1990.
