BUCHANAN HS: Andrew Balch closed out a successful prep career at Buchanan High School by going 48-4 his senior season and claiming the 145-pound California State Championship...was a two-time all Tri-River Athletic Conference selection...two-time All-CIF Central Section selection...one-time master’s champion...helped Buchanan High become TRAC and Central Section champions in 2007...team won the 2006 CIF State Championship and 2005 league championship...also played baseball for the Bears.

PERSONAL: Balch is majoring in business administration at CSUB...father, Rodney Balch, wrestled at CSUB from 1976-78, earning All-American honors in ?77 and ?78...interests include playing badmitton...parents are Rodney and Rachel Balch.
