2013 (FRESHMAN): Took 11th at the Cal Poly Pomona Preview with a time of 59.99 in the 00 m dash…Member of the 800 sprint medley team that won third at the CSUN Invitational and fifth in the 4x400 relay…Paced CSUB to a sixth-place finish in the Pasadena Games in the 4x400 relay…Clocked in her season-best time of 27.15 in the 200 m dash at the Fresno State Bulldog Open.

HIGH SCHOOL: Competed under track and field coach Adam Dawson and helped the Stars win Southeast Yosemite League titles in 2011 and 2012….Won a handful of scholarships including: the Ronny Beaman Memorial, the Kern High School District Counselor’s Association, the NHS PTC and the Gombos Family Charitable Foundation….Also played soccer and ran cross country at North, helping the Stars earn a SEYL cross country championship in 2011.

PERSONAL: Born Aug. 18, 1994…Plans on majoring in English and hopes to be a high school English teacher after her time at CSUB…Daughter of Dean and Cherri Birks…Hobbies include traveling, writing poetry and being involved with the church.
