Biography
2011-12 (R-JUNIOR): Earned first team All-Conference honors in the 100 back and the 200 free....was second in the 100 back at the league meet and third in the 200 free...a second team All-Conference selection in the 200 back (third)...a member of the 400 free relay that reset the school record in the event with a time of 2:59.55 (a NCAA “B” xut time)...anchored the 800 free relay that lowered the school record in the race in a time of 6:32.67 (a NCAA “B” cut time)...won the 200 free at the Pacific and UC Santa Cruz duals...earned first place in the 500 free during the UC Santa Cruz dual.
2010-11: Did not compete after UC Davis dropped men’s swimming as a varsity sport upon the conclusion of the 2009-10 season.
2009-10 (SOPHOMORE): Helped UC Davis to a NCAA “B” cut time int he 400 freestyle relay...part of Aggies’ 800 free relay that won the Big West title and posted a “B” cut time...competed in the 50 free, 100 free, 200 free, 500 free, and 200 back.
2008-09 (FRESHMAN): Advanced to finals in 200 and 500 free at Big West Championships, finishing 3rd in both events for UC Davis... placed 13th in 100 free for a point total of 40... swam second leg of Big West Conference 800 free relay team... also swam on 200 and 400 free, and 400 medley relays at conference, helping each team finish top three, bringing the four relay points to 138...times of 1:37.31 in 200 and 4:26.84 in 500 free rank third all-time at UC Davis.
HIGH SCHOOL: A 2008 graduate of Lodi High School...coach was John Griffin...earned NISCA All-America times in 200 free and 100 back as a senior... posted three more All-American times as a junior in the 100 back, 100 free and 500 free... won the Sac-Joaquin Section title in the 100 back as a sophomore...finished top three in the 100, 200 and 500 free, and 100 back all four years at sections...starred for Lodi City Swim Club, setting seven club records and qualifying for Jr. Nationals in 2007 and 2008.
PERSONAL: Born Nov. 2, 1989...son of Robert & Roselyn Daneke...a chemistry major.
