When you Give, We Rise!

Thank you for supporting Cal State Bakersfield's fourth annual Giving Day, from noon on April 2 until noon on April 3! 

This initiative brings our alumni, employees, parents and friends of the university together to make a difference in our students' lives and elevate our programs.

CSUB is the only four-year public institution within nearly 100 miles. The majority of students who attend CSUB stay in the region after graduation, making a positive impact in our community.

Through your Giving Day donation, you can transform the lives of students and elevate our community. Thank you, `Runners!

What is the Rowdy Challenge?

Each of CSUB Athletics' teams will compete to gain the most donors within the 24-hour Giving Day period. The Athletics team with the most participation will unlock a generous gift of $2,500 from Connie Perez-Andreesen and Joel Andreesen for their respective team.

2024 Giving Day has come to a close! We are so appreciative of the 658 generous supporters who donated to our teams!

Giving Day Update #4: 19 hours elapsed

The night has passed, so it's time for a Giving Day leaderboard check-in, so take a peek at the Top 3 below! Over the first half of Giving Day, the Roadrunner indoor volleyball did great work to keep pace with the golf team, but the wrestling program also did some solid work as all three programs have over 100 donors thus far.

While the golf team already wrapped up the Rowdy Challenge prize, help us keep the momentum going as we attempt to spread awareness about supporting our Athletics teams! 

Giving Day Update #3: 1 hour, 45 minutes elapsed

Your 2024 Rowdy Challenge winners are the CSUB golf team! Head Coach Katy Barrett Baxter and her squad blitzed the leaderboard and raced to be the first team to meet their goal, unlocking the generous $2,500 gift that will go a long way to help our `Runners.

Just because the Rowdy Challenge is over does not mean that Giving Day is over! We encourage family, friends, and fans to continue to support all of CSUB Athletics' programs through the end of the Giving Day, which wraps up at noon on Wednesday, April 3rd!

Giving Day Update #2: 1 hour elapsed

The indoor volleyball team (67) is keeping pace with the golf team (68) in terms of total donors, but each team has a pro-rated goal based on their roster sizes. That means, golf is only 12 donations shy of its goal of 80 unique donors to become the first to reach their goal mark and unlock the $2,500 gift!
